You know that person who thinks that if they were “said” leader they would have made a better decision in that conflict?
Usually, those same people tend to be toxic leaders. The bodies that follow their ministries are the evidence. One of the first lessons you learn in leadership is humanity. It’s easy to look over your shoulder and judge a man harshly for his past mistakes in leadership but it’s a lot harder to look in the mirror and see all the ways in which you are dropping the ball.
This does not mean that we should never judge the ministry or decisions of other leaders, but it does mean that in doing so our attitude will always be tempered by humility because we know that were it not for the grace of God, so we too would fall.
