What would happen if Christians evangelized more often? If we took seriously the Great Commission and made disciples of all the nations? Would the world be evangelized, and progressively become more Christian? Or would the world become worse and worse until the return of Christ? If the light of the gospel exposes the darkness which will prevail? The Light or the Dark? If the gospel is the power of God unto salvation can that power overcome the hearts of sinful men?
We are given the answer to all these questions in the person of Christ. His life, death, and resurrection prove his victory over sin, death, and the grave. In His death, and Resurrection Christ purchased His elect in every age, and none will be lost. Indeed we are told that he did not come to condemn the world but rather He came to save it.
In His death, and Resurrection Christ is reconciling all things to himself. Little by little, day by day, generation by generation, Christ is destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
